Randle, Washington is located about 20 minutes west of Packwood and is a beautiful area of the state. There is rich farmland all around and it’s surrounded by beautiful hills, mountain ranges, and high mountain peaks. It really is a fun place to visit.
From Randle, you can make your way to White Pass, Rimrock Lake, Riffe Lake, Mt. Rainier National Park, and Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. Sightseeing can take a lot out of you and when you need a great place to eat, the town of Randle has that ready for you too.
The Huff ‘N’ Puff Drive-In sits just off Highway 12 on the west end of Randle. You can’t miss it as it has just about the most colorful paint job you will have ever seen. You can order at the walk-up window or go inside and there is seating inside and out. There are quite a few options to order, including most of the normal things you would find at a popular hamburder stop.
The burgers are delicious, just like the fries. They don’t skimp on the size either as you’ll have plenty to eat. There are a lot of other options on the menu too. One thing you’ll need to try are the milkshakes at Huff ‘N’ Puff. They are so good you’re sure to want to come back again while you’re in the area.
Good pizza can be hard to find. It’s not that hard to find when you visit Packwood, Washington.
There are some great reasons to come to Packwood. It’s a fun little mountain town that is close to some great outdoor recreation possibilities and, of course, Mount Rainier National Park. When all your time out and about in the surrounding area is spent and you’re looking for something to eat, Packwood also offers a great pizza place.
Cruiser’s Pizza in Packwood is a great little place featuring some awesome pizza. It’s easy to see that the pizza is made of high quality ingredients. It’s also much appreciated that Cruiser’s Pizza knows exactly how to cook a pizza. The bottom of the crust is perfectly done. The pizza toppings are crisp and done, and the cheese is golden brown. The toppings are generous too, especially the cheese.
There are a lot of things to love about staying in Packwood and one of them is getting the chance to go out to Cruiser’s Pizza.
Sometimes it seems like I’m passing through or by the small town of Cle Elum nearly every time I get behind the wheel. Located right alongside Interstate 90 on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, this is a very convenient place to stop for fuel, a bite to eat, or even just to look around and explore.
Cle Elum has a fun atmosphere and is very much the small mountain town it seems to be. When you go there you can explore both the historical attractions and the beautiful scenery at the same time. You can also get some great tasting food too.
I’m a breakfast lover and was n the mood for a nice hearty breakfast meal when I came rolling into Cle Elum. The problem was, it was also a little after noon by the time I got there. I was resigned to having a burger or some other quick food choice before getting back on the freeway but through the use of a very popular app, I found the Cottage Cafe.
The Cottage Cafe is a very friendly place in Cle Elum and it has a relaxed atmosphere that fits right in with the city. The payoff for me? They serve breakfast all… day… long. (If this were being broadcast on the radio or TV, this is where the sound of a chorus of angels would be inserted.) I’m going to say that one more time. They serve breakfast all… day… long.
I chose the ham and cheese omelet and it was the right move. The rest of us were still able to get lunch food, why though when breakfast was available, I’ll never know. Everyone was extremely happy with what they’d gotten and it must’ve been good as it all disappeared off the plate so fast.
I drive by Cle Elum a lot and I’d bet good money that this is not the last time I eat at the Cottage Cafe.
